"All Children Can Learn And We Make The Difference"
Welcome to Bend Elementary School!
Welcome to Bend Elementary School – where all students receive a well-rounded education and learn 21st-Century skills to prepare them for a successful future!
Strong literacy and math skills are needed for success in college, career, and life. In addition, students must be afforded opportunities to engage in the sciences, technology, social sciences and visual and performing arts. Research shows that students engage more deeply in learning when they are exposed to a variety of topics and can connect with learning in various ways that can extend beyond the classroom walls. We provide such well-rounded learning experiences for our students whereby they receive art, music, and physical education. Additionally, our 5th through 8th grade students participate in electives twice per week.
At Bend, we pride ourselves in knowing all of our students are developing their learner behaviors, preparing each and every one of them for successful high school years and beyond.
Our goal is to teach students to become adults that inform themselves, understand the issues of the day, and volunteer in their communities, prepare our nation to solve difficult, challenging issues and make it an equitable place to live for future generations.
Ms. Andranigian (TK-K)
Ms. Andranigian is our Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten teacher. She comes to us with plenty of Kindergarten experience and we are so excited to have her as a part of the Bend Broncos team.

Mrs. Borgardt taught Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten last year at Bend. She is now going to be teaching First and Second grades! She is an Evergreen Union School District graduate, and we couldn’t be more proud to have her as a part of our Bend family!
Mrs. Van Dyke (3-4)
Mrs. VanDyke has been teaching Third and Fourth Grades at Bend for three years. She was first at Evergreen Elementary before joining our Bend team. Mrs. VanDyke also coaches the volleyball team, and we are grateful to have her with us!
Mrs. Veatch has been a part of the Evergreen Union School District for 22 years. She joined the Bend team in 2015 as Lead Teacher – teaching Fifth and Sixth Grade. This year she is also Principal of Bend Elementary and continues teaching. Bend is so lucky to have her as a leader!

Under a new law known as SB 277, beginning January 1, 2016, exemptions based on personal beliefs will no longer be an option for the vaccines that are currently required for entry into child care or school in California. Most families will not be affected by the new law because their children have received all required vaccinations. Personal beliefs exemptions on file for a child already attending child care or school will remain valid until the child reaches the next immunization checkpoint at kindergarten (including transitional kindergarten) or 7th grade.
