Dear Staff, Parents and Community Members:

Please know that our hearts go out to those affected by this morning's events that took place in Rancho Tehama. This is a horrific event that touches us deeply having happened so close to home. That said, I do want to assure our community that we have plans in place including measures to both lockdown as well as evacuation to keep our children as safe as possible. I would like to take this time to remind all that our greatest defense against such horrible acts is to stop them from happening in the first place and the best way to do that is to know your neighbors, your coworkers, your family members well and report any kind of suspicious activity. In nearly every one of these incidents, the person(s) carrying out these egregious acts has shown signs prior to acting out and often little or nothing was reported. This is our community and we must care for it by looking out for and after one another. Please report any kind of suspicious or unusual behavior.

As more information becomes available regarding Rancho Tehama, it will be shared; as a community, we will look for ways to support our neighbors in Rancho Tehama.
